I was pleased to play several times for the Peekskill Music Series last year and have done so a bunch over the years/ It just doesn't get old! I love to see all the people with us right there on North Division St (bet. Park and Main) and I look forward to opening the calendar for this year! On May 9th, the street will be closed to traffic, and open to 4 participating restaurants. There will be tables and chairs with diverse menu's and great service and you! You'll be sure to find a great dinner or you can hang and listen. We start the Jazz at 7:00 and I am honored to play with the same stellar players I had last gig. The copy below will look familiar but these guys deserve the praise. Before that though, I want to congratulate Joe Tranchina on the Release of his latest album, “Completely Composed”. I hope you get it and support this wonderful musician. Congratulations Joe!

Again, let me brag about the guys in the band a minute…..

Waldron Ricks was introduced to me by the late great Rahn Burton and I have been fortunate to play with him many times over the years. He is a Grammy nominee, has his own leader-driven albums, plays the circuit with many greats and also teaches at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts. He will bring his special brand of heat up from “Downtown” that evening and I am psyched to play with him again!

I am so happy that Lew Scott (bass) has become a regular crowd pleaser with me. He is also a mainstay and called-for, as a recording artist and a live performing bassist. Lew has many credits and they include heavies such as Mark Murphy, Clark Terry, Conti Condoli and Herb Ellis, to name a few. If you've seen Lew before, you know what you're in for and I hope you can make it!

Once again, Joe Tranchina will perform on the keys. Joe has 25 ASCAP awards to his name (25!), been voted as the Hudson Valley Jazz Musician of the Year, and has an extensive list of credits that include Jimmy Heath, James Spaulding, David Fathead Newman, Sheila Jordan, and Mark Murphy to highlight but a few.

I'll have the best seat in the house as it is always my pleasure to collaborate with these fine artists and YOU- ‘our 6th band member’.

This concert will be rain or shine so if the weather is inclement, we'll be on stage inside Rubens, at 12 North Division Street, Peekskill, NY 10566. See you there either way!

As always, thank you for your support and I hope to see you!

The Quartet takes the street back (along with table service from 4 restaurants and room to hang) for the Peekskill Music Series. John Castleman-trumpet/flugelhorn, Lew Scott- bass, Joe Tranchina-keys, you, and yours truly on the best seat in the house! Use 12 North division St., Peekskill, NY 10566 for your GPS. NEXT GIG. Quartet Jazz back at the Peekskill Music Series! August 31st at 7:00 PM. North Division between Park and Main. The street will be closed but open for the Jazz and great vibe we've come to enjoy there. Restaurants, outdoor seating and table service, and the Jazz, as I present John Castleman- trumpet/flugelhorn, Lew Scott-bass, Joe Vincent Tranchina- keyboards, and yours truly- on the best seat in the house! I hope you can join us!

Once again, I am happy to be part of the Peekskill Music Series on June 29th at 7:00PM. The street will be closed to traffic and replaced by table service from 4 restaurants and on that night, Jazz! Join John Casteman (trumpet/flugelhorn), Michael Goetz (bass), Joe Tranchina (keybaords) and yours truly on the drums. Food, libations, and Jazz = the great vibe that I look forward to sharing that evening!
